I've got some bad news and some good news...

The bad new first. The labs are not buying yellowjackets like they used to. I sincerely apologize that I will not be able to collect for free for at least a couple of years. (The only exception may be white-faced hornets)

HORNETS WANTED

I am looking to buy white-faced hornets (D. Maculata) from other collectors in August and September. This is only for those who can collect them alive, can freeze them and keep them frozen, and have access to dry ice. If you are interested, please email me ASAP for details.

I have designed a Better Yellowjacket Trap for people who have a yellowjacket or hornet nest on their property and want to eliminate them using a 100% pesticide-free solution.

Commercial yellowjacket traps have many problems. They play on people's ignorance. I know yellowjackets and every time I have seen these commercial traps near the target nest, I have NEVER found them collecting the yellowjackets from the target nest. The pheromone that is used only attracts one variety. Because people do not know varieties, they do not know that they were ripped off and that the trap didn't work.
